National Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine Day
National Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine Day (Heading) In celebration of the National Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine Day on October 24th, 2005, the AOMAM had a open house at the Whole Foods in Minneapolis, MN. There were acupuncture and cupping demonstrations along with herbal and food therapy displays.
It was the AOMAM's first opportunity to use its new 3-panel informational display board. This display is available to AOMAM members for use at promotional and education events.
There was a great turn out for the event and it provided an excellent opportunity to educate the public about acupuncture and Oriental medicine. Several L.Ac.'s offered a free acupuncture session as prize giveaways and many of the AOMAM directories of L.Ac.'s were provided to the public.
This event would not have been made possible without all the hard work of the AOMAM Public Relations committee headed by Ruth Eaton, and all the volunteers at the event, including students from the acupuncture and Oriental medicine program at Northwestern Health Sciences University.
Chinese New Year 2004
The AOMAM celebrated the 2004 Chinese New Year at the American Academy of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine in Roseville, MN. There was a silent auction, excellent food, and performances later in the evening.
Jason Grafft and Amy Moll from the Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine Student Organization of the Midwest provided information about the organization during the evening.
